Multi-media visual artist, designer and UCSC Associate Professor in the Theater Arts Department, Brandin Barón was the guest on Artist on Art for August 1, 20100.

Brandin was the costumes designer for the current Shakespeare Santa Cruz production of The Comedy of Errors this summer. In the past for Shakespeare Santa Cruz,  he has also designed the costumes Love’s Labor’s Lost and Tempest.

In addition to costume design for the theater, Brandin has worked on commercial design venues and is a fine artist and free-lance illustrator.

The Shakespeare Santa Cruz season is still going on and great tickets are still available. William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, directed by Danny Scheie, is playing the indoor UCSC Mainstage Theater until August 28.

The other plays in this year’s line-up are, the Three Musketeers (July 20 – August 28, 2011) and Henry IV, Part One by William Shakespeare (August 2 – 28, 2011).
