On September 3, 2014, local artists, mother & son duo, Elissa Kline & Ian Janco came into UCSC’s KZSC radio station to talk about their work.

Elissa Kline is a fine art photographer who works as an advocate for wild horses working with Return to Freedom, a sanctuary in Lompoc. Elissa and Ian come from a long line of artists. Her Grandfather was a Dada artist and her mother and father were both artists. In Elissa’s former life, she was a recording engineer and studio manager in New York and LA. Then over twenty years ago, she began working with Carole King first as a her ranch manager and now as her photographer.

Ian Janco is a songwriter and musician who just released his album Stronghold. He had a cd release party at the ArtBar in the Tannery Arts Center, September 6th that was also a fundraiser for Guitars Not Guns Music Program.

I'm a radioactive media making artivist working every day to make the world a better place.
