Santa Cruz’s multi-talented actress and recent UCSC graduate, Katelyn Laird came into KZSC on July 24, 2013 to talk on Artist on Art about her acting, singing and dancing.

Katelyn will be performing in Cabrillo Stage’s production of Oklahoma, the Rodgers & Hammerstein’s story, song and dance. Set in a Western Indian territory at the turn of the century, the high spirited rivalry between the farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and the sinister Jud Fry vie for the affection of Laurey, a winsome farm girl. Oklahoma’s multi-award winning depiction of the pioneering men and women of the American Southwest is a joyful classic for the whole family.

This musical event is presented at the Crocker Theater July 26 – August 18, 2013 with 7:30 Evening performances and Saturday and Sunday at matinees 2:00pm.
