It’s a pleasure to be speaking with our guest tonight, Manel Camps, UCSC Professor in Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology, Faculty Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development and Crown Provost. He wears many hats.

We spoke about some exciting events that are happening under his leadership. First this week, we will be having a guest come from Bogota Colombia, Jaime Ortiz  who founded an organization that changed Bogota for the better through bicycle activism, CicLAvia, a play on the Spanish word “cyclovia” meaning “cycleway,” was started back in 1974.  

Manel himself will also be visiting Colombia and specifically a university that has been developing a relationship Universidad Distrital Facultad Tecnológica in Bogota, Colombia.
