UCSC Art Professor and former Chair of the Art Department, UC David PhD Candidate, wife to Annie Sprinkler, performance artist, sculptor, Elizabeth Stephens took time to talk with Nada Miljkovic for KZSC’s Artist on Art about her work as an eco-activist and SexEcology.

We met at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History to talk about upcoming events, An Evening with Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping to talk about Earth Justice.

We also talked about the upcoming exhibition endurance performance art day, Listening to the Earth II/Temporality.

Beginning at 6am and going until 8pm on May 26th, the first floor of MAH will have internationally acclaimed artists Nita Little, John Zibelll, Kevin O’Connor, Annie Sprinkle, Beth Stephens, Duskin Drum and the performing group Thingamajigs in collaboration with Stephen Ratcliff invite visitors to explore notions of the sound, time, and consciousness in relation to various environments. UCSC art students Morgan True, Dimitri Zurita and Heidi Cramer will also perform.
